## Steps

1. On Umbrel, install the Electrs app. Let it finish syncing.
2. Open Electrs. Note the address and port: usually umbrel.local and 50001.
3. In Sparrow: Settings → Server → Private Electrum.
4. URL: umbrel.local. Port: 50001. Use SSL: off.
5. Click Test Connection. Green tick? Done.
6. Away from home? Use the Tor address from Electrs, with Sparrow’s proxy on.

## FAQ

**“No route to host”?**
Use umbrel.local instead of an IP. On macOS: System Settings → Privacy & Security → Local Network → turn on Sparrow. Same Wi-Fi, VPN off.

**Local or Tor?**
Local at home. Fast. Tor when you’re out. No ports to open.

**Test fails with the IP?**
The IP may be old. Find the current one in your router’s device list.
